INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large saute pan, add 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil on medium heat. Brown beef. Add onions andcook for a few minutes more. Drain.
- Mix diced tomatoes with tomato paste and add to beef mixture. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add water, chicken base, salsa, salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, taco seasoning, and garlicand let simmer for an additional 20 minutes. Ensure that the internal temperature reaches165 degrees F.
- To serve. place 1.5oz of beef mixture on 1oz of tortilla chips and top with 1oz of lettuce.
