Spaghetti with Meat Balls

Ingredients Amount / Measure Notes
  • frozen meatballs 6 oz
  • multi-grain penne pasta 3 oz
  • water 2-1/2 cups
  • spaghetti sauce low sodium 1/2 cup
  • oregano 1/8 tsp
  • pepper 1/8 tsp


INSTRUCTIONS


  • Place meatballs in baking dish, cover, and heat in 350° F oven for 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches165° F. Keep warm until ready to serve.
  • Boil pasta in water until tender, following the package instructions. Drain and place back into pot.
  • Add spaghetti sauce, oregano, and pepper to pasta and heat until internal temperature reaches 135° F. Place pasta into serving dishes. Serve as 1/2 cup portions and with 2 meat balls per serving.

  • Using a #30 scoop, portion meat balls onto sheet tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake at 350° F for 20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165° F. Hold hot for service.
  • Boil pasta in water until tender, following manufacturer's instructions. Drain and place back into pot.
  • Add marinara sauce and heat until internal temperature reaches 135° F. Place pasta into hotel pans. Serve using 3/4 cup scoop and with 4 meat balls per serving.
