Asian Cabbage Stir Fry

Ingredients Amount / Measure Notes
  • Cabbage, raw shredded 15 3/8 oz.
  • Peppers, sweet, green, raw sliced 1 pt., 2 tbsp., 1 3/4
  • Onions, raw sliced 1 3/4 c., 3/4 tsp.
  • Garlic, raw 1 tbsp.
  • Ginger root, raw 1/2 tsp.
  • Oil, sesame, salad or cooking 1 tbsp.
  • Sambal Oelek 1 1/2 tsp.
  • Soy sauce, reduced sodium, made from hydrolyzed vegetable protein 2 1/4 tsp.
  • Sauce, teriyaki, ready-to-serve 2 1/4 tsp.
  • Seeds, sesame seeds, whole, dried 3/4 tsp.


INSTRUCTIONS


  • Wash all produce. Cut cabbage into large 1/2” strips and julienne peppers and onions. Mince garlic and ginger.
  • In a braising pan on medium heat, add sesame oil and heat up. Add peppers and onions. Saute for 2 minutes until vegetables start to get tender.
  • Add cabbage, ginger, and garlic and cook for 7-10 minutes.
  • Add chili sauce, soy sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Simmer on low heat for 5 minutes or  until the internal temperature reaches 135° F. Hold hot for service
