Ag in the Classroom

The purpose of Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom is to help familiarize Oklahoma school children with Oklahoma’s number one industry – the food and fiber industry. The lessons included are hands-on and fun, making use of a subject and a substance that is very familiar and dear to most students – food.

Junior Master Gardener

The Junior Master Gardener program is an international youth gardening program of the university cooperative Extension network. JMG engages children in novel, “hands-on” group and individual learning experiences that provide a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, and cultivate the mind.

Team Nutrition is an initiative of the USDA Food and Nutrition Service to support the Child Nutrition Programs through training and technical assistance for foodservice, nutrition education for children and their caregivers, and school and community support for healthy eating and physical activity.

Food for Kids Backpack Program

The Regional Food Bank’s Food for Kids program provides chronically hungry children with backpacks filled with non-perishable, nutritious, kid-friendly, shelf-stable food to sustain them over weekends and school holidays.
